Residential Compact Fluorescent Lighting Quick Start Program

The Residential Compact Fluorescent Lighting (CFL) Quick Start Program is an
energy efficiency program designed to educate and influence Entergy Arkansas,
Inc. residential customers to purchase and use ENERGY STAR-qualified CFLs in
their homes.

Who Is Eligible?
The Residential CFL Program is offered to all Entergy Arkansas* residential
electric service customers. In addition, any retailer who sells ENERGY STAR
rated CFLs is eligible to participate in the program.
What Are The Program Benefits?
Program benefits include providing coupons to consumers to “buy-down” the cost
of CFLs, educating customers about CFL benefits and advantages over
incandescent lighting, and motivating retailers and dealers to promote the
energy savings and cost savings benefits of CFLs.
How Does The Program Work?
During the course of the Quick Start period, December 2007 – December 2009,
all Entergy Arkansas customers will receive a coupon to be used to discount
the price of ENERGY STAR-rated CFLs when purchased at participating retailers.
What Are The Incentives?
The program incentive consists of one coupon for $3.00 off a three or four
pack of ENERGY STAR-rated CFL bulbs and one coupon for $4.00 off a five or
more pack of ENERGY STAR-rated CFL bulbs.
What Does The Program Cost?
Customers pay nothing to participate in the program. Entergy Arkansas provides
the program coupons. The financial investment that any customer makes is for
the ENERGY STAR-rated CFL bulbs that they purchase with their discount coupons.
How Can Customers Participate In The Program?
There is no formal enrollment process for Entergy Arkansas customers in the
CFL Program. To become a program partner, retailers sign an agreement with the
