Large Commercial & Industrial Energy Solutions Quick Start Program Fact Sheet

The Large Commercial & Industrial (C&I) Energy Solutions Quick Start Program is an energy efficiency program designed to provide assistance and financial incentives to large C&I customers for the installation of certain energy efficiency measures that reduce peak demand loads in their facilities.

Who Is Eligible?

The Large C&I Energy Solutions Quick Start Program is offered to all Entergy Arkansas, Inc. retail electric customers with a peak demand of 100 kW or greater.

What Are the Program Benefits?

Program benefits include providing customers with access to resources such as consultative energy services, energy assessments, as well as financial incentives for projects that improve the electrical energy efficiency of their facilities. Project measurement and verification is simplified for the energy efficiency measures eligible under this program.

How Does The Program Work?

Participating customers submit a Letter of Intent followed by a project application. To identity qualifying energy efficiency projects, customers can choose to use their own staff, enlist the services of consulting engineers, choose from a network of energy engineering professionals the program will identify, or use energy assessment professionals provided by the program. These energy assessment professionals conduct an energy assessment that may examine heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) equipment, lighting, and/or motor equipment. Projects go through a pre- and post-installation and inspection process that approves the energy efficiency work and allows for incentive payments.

What Are The Incentives?

The incentive for eligible energy efficiency measures is based on $159/kW for peak demand reductions.

What Energy Efficiency Measures Are Eligible For Financial Incentives?

1. Energy Efficient Lighting

2. High-Efficiency Unitary Air-Conditioning and Heat Pump Equipment

3. Electric Chillers

4. Premium Efficiency Motors

What Does The Program Cost?

Customers pay nothing for the program. Entergy Arkansas* provides the support and incentives for the program. The financial investment that any customer makes is for the energy efficiency measures they install in their own facilities.

How Can Customers Participate In The Program?

When an eligible customer decides to participate in the program, the customer will send a Letter of Intent (LOI) to the program administrator. In the LOI the customer notifies the program administrator of its intention to participate and its understanding of the rules, benefits and requirements of the program. The program administrator will provide a sample LOI that customers may replicate if they choose. The program funding is limited so customers must adhere to the program dates and rules for eligibility in order to participate.
