There has not been an increase in base rates for Entergy Arkansas since 1986.
With rising costs across the board, Entergy Arkansas must have a reasonable increase in base rates in order to continue to provide its customers with high-quality, reliable service.
While base rates have not increased in nearly 25 years, the portion of your bill that covers the cost of fuel and purchased power has changed as these costs fluctuate. However, Entergy Arkansas is not permitted to earn a profit on this portion of the bill. Customers are billed for what the fuel and outside power purchases cost.
