Entergy Arkansas Tops National Customer Satisfaction Survey

Little Rock, Ark. -- Entergy Arkansas, Inc. received the highest rating for overall favorability when compared to 85 major energy utilities in the United States. A national survey conducted by Market Strategies International polled residential customers during the first quarter of 2009.

MSI surveys Entergy customers continuously and reports results quarterly. Entergy Arkansas scored an 81 on the question of “overall favorability” in the first quarter of 2009, while the national benchmark average is 70.

Entergy Arkansas also ranked first nationally in the following categories:

  • Having friendly and courteous employees

  • Helping customers use energy safely

  • Protecting the environment

  • Letting customers know what caused an outage.

“These high rankings are a direct reflection of the quality of service our employees are providing to our customers,” said Dennis Singletary, director of customer service for Entergy Arkansas, Inc. “We appreciate our employees very much, and these survey results show that most of our customers appreciate them as well.”

Entergy Arkansas also ranked No. 2 out of 85 comparable companies on several additional key measures, including:

  • Providing reliable estimates of when power will be restored after an outage

  • Being accessible by phone during an outage

  • Meeting customer expectations

  • Having bills that are easy to understand

  • Being responsive to customer needs

On the key question of “overall satisfaction,” Entergy Arkansas ranked No. 3 out of the 85 companies included in the survey.
